BFAP and PULA’s vision is to integrate existing economic and financial models and scenario planning techniques used by BFAP together with spatial model developments by PULA into a spatial platform, thereby combining critical elements of economics, remote sensing, infrastructure, roads, transportation, water catchment areas, irrigation schemes and census data for improved scenario planning and impact assessment.


This creates the opportunity to evaluate the entire Agro-economic sector, with all the economic effects and drivers. The model enables us to run country-wide economic, resource and infrastructure related scenarios all the way down to farm-level and more importantly to consumer and or household food security levels.
